Sport and fitness

Sport has always been at the heart of Deakin, and is one of our greatest strengths. We have a variety of facilities across our campuses, including gyms, fitness classes, basketball courts and sports ovals.

DeakinACTIVE is the new home of sport, health and wellbeing at Deakin. Whether it’s working out in the fitness centre, going for a run, joining a group fitness class, playing your favourite sport or healthy eating, DeakinACTIVE will help you achieve your goals. We promote an integrated approach to wellness, involving many different types of activities, so you can have a healthy lifestyle and succeed at your studies and beyond.

Featuring gyms with state-of-the-art Technogym machines, group fitness classes, social sport teams and stadium courts and fields for use and hire, there's something to help you reach your fitness goals. We even have an app – Deakin Moves – that includes programs, challenges and a workout tracker to keep you on track to reach your fitness goals.
